Panchkula: Youth booked for slapping teen in Majri village
The girl’s father told the police that his daughter leaves for tuitions around 4pm and returns around 7.30pm. On Thursday while she was returning home, a youth, seemingly in his 20s, came and slapped her. The girl immediately raised the alarm following which he ran away.
An unidentified youth has been booked for allegedly slapping a 14-year-old girl returning from tuition in Majri village of Panchkula.
The girl’s father told the police that his daughter leaves for tuitions around 4pm and returns around 7.30pm. On Thursday while she was returning home, a youth, seemingly in his 20s, came and slapped her. The girl immediately raised the alarm following which he ran away.
As the youth had covered his face and there were no streetlights, the girl could not identify him.
A case under Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (care and protection of children) Act, 2015, and Sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 341 (wrongful restraint) of the Indian Penal Code Act has been registered. The youth is yet to be registered.
