As per information, a student of Class 7, Jaswinder Singh (13) of Zira, a sub division of Ferozepur, went to the market on a bicycle from home but did not return. On Sunday night, body of the deceased boy with injury marks was found lying in the fields on Shah Wala Road. People in the area, have been demanding immediate arrest of accused. Till late Monday evening, protesters continued sitting infront of police station Zira, while cremation of deceased was not held and his body was kept at his home. Repeated attempts to contact senior superintendent of police, Ferozepur remained futile.
“We have got strong clues to crack the case while few of suspects involved into the murder are rounded up,” said Kanwardeep Kaur, senior superintendent of police. “Very soon, they will disclose the details,” added SSP.
