Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab president and cabinet minister Aman Arora on Friday criticised the BJP-led central government over the rise in fuel prices and inflation, accusing it of burdening the common man, farmers and small businesses. Addressing a press conference here, Arora said that immediately after the West Bengal elections, the Centre increased the price of commercial LPG cylinders and then petrol, diesel and CNG rates. “The BJP only remembers public welfare during elections but imposes economic burdens on people after securing votes,” he alleged. Demanding an immediate rollback, the AAP leader said that the diesel price hike would directly impact agricultural operations during the paddy sowing season.
