Punjab logs 45 Covid fresh cases, no death

Among districts, Ludhiana and Pathankot topped the list with eight fresh cases each followed by six in Hoshiarpur

Chandigarh : Punjab on Wednesday reported 45 fresh Covid cases taking the infection tally to 7,58,562, according to a medical bulletin.

With 47 persons recovering from the virus, the number of cured persons in the state has reached 7,40,497, the bulletin said.

With no death from the virus, the death toll stood at 17,722.

According to the bulletin, the state’s positivity rate has come down to 0.27%.

Among districts, Ludhiana and Pathankot topped the list with eight fresh cases each followed by six in Hoshiarpur.

Active cases in the state have also come down to 343. A total of 42,909 people were vaccinated in the state on Wednesday.
