State Information Commissioner Harpreet Singh Sandhu informed that in the appeal case filed by Balkar Singh, a resident of Ludhiana’s Sidhwan Bet, the commission issued a warrant against the PIO-cum-secretary, Amit Kumar, to appear before the commission on March 16, according to an official release. He said Kumar remained absent despite the instructions of the commission in the three hearings held so far in this case. The order has been issued under Section 18 (3) (a) of the RTA Act-2005 to the commissioner of police, Ludhiana, to serve a copy of these warrants on Amit Kumar and issue instructions to appear before the commission on the next date of hearing.
