Two Ludhiana doctors booked for botched cosmetic surgery

Police have booked two city-based doctors for allegedly botching the cosmetic surgery of a Basti Jodhewal man.

The accused have been identified as Dr JS Kathuria and Dr Ajay Kumar.

In his complaint, one Gurdeep Kumar said that he had undergone a cosmetic surgery on his nose at Deep nursing home in Guru Arjun Dev Nagar on December 20. “The surgery made by nose crooked and I am now facing difficulty in breathing.”

He said that he submitted a complaint at the civil surgeon’s office, but the doctors failed to present their version.

Sub-inspector Prem Chand, investigation officer, said that a case has been registered under Sections 336 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of Indian Penal Code at the Division Number 8 police station.
