2 die after inhaling toxic gas while cleaning well in Hisar

The deceased have been identified as Jaiveer and Sunil Kumar. While Anil, who was also involved in cleaning the well, was taken out and is undergoing treatment at civil hospital in Hansi.

According to police, the incident took place when Jaiveer went down to clean the well built on the premises of a temple at Sisai Bolan village and when he did not return Sunil went down.

“Sunil’s brother went down when both did not respond. Later, villagers pulled out three of them. Jaiveer and Sunil died of inhaling toxic gas and Anil is undergoing treatment,” a spokesman of Hisar police said.
