New Delhi:A 48-year-old man died after being run over by a truck inside a ready-mix concrete plant in southwest Delhi’s Rajokri Village area on Friday.

The deceased identified as, Surender Shah and a resident of Harijan Basti in Rajokri Village, had gone to the plant to buy concrete mix for house repairs.
Police said the victim was sitting on the floor and collecting the mix in a bag, when a truck reversed and crushed him.
According to the truck driver, he did not see Shah sitting behind his truck while reversing, police added.
DCP (southwest) Amit Goel said “We received a PCR call from an RMC plant worker about the incident. Staff found a man lying unconscious. The victim was taken to Safdarjung Hospital where he was declared dead. A crime team was called to the spot.”
Police said they are checking nearby CCTVs and conducting an inquiry against the truck driver and the staff. No arrests have been made yet.
Shah lived with his family in Rajokri Village and worked at a cloth factory in Gurugram, police added.
