Paris-bound Air India flight makes emergency landing at Delhi airport after snag
According to the officials, flight– AI-143 departed the IGI airport at 1:28 pm, but the pilot soon requested an emergency landing, owing to a ‘flap issue’.
A Paris-bound Air India flight made an emergency landing at New Delhi Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport as it developed a “technical snag” mid-air, officials said on Wednesday.
Officials said the flight was carrying 210 passengers and landed safely at the Delhi airport.
According to the officials, flight– AI-143 departed the IGI airport at 1:28 pm, but the pilot soon requested an emergency landing, owing to a ‘flap issue’.

“Based on the request of the airline, a full emergency was declared at 2:03pm, with the air traffic control (ATC0 allowing the flight to return and land at the airport. It landed safely at 2:25 pm,” an airport official said.
Upon landing, airport ground staff and emergency services, including firefighting and healthcare personnel were on the ground. There are no reports of injuries to any passengers or crew members. “The passengers were deboarded safely from the flight upon landing,” the official added.
A response from Air India is awaited.
