Police on lookout for CA for raping colleague in Delhi

The woman alleged that the man also raped her in a hotel in Noida last month and had been harassing her by claiming to have in possession her personal photographs

A woman alleged a man, who is a chartered account and works with her at a private firm, raped her after spiking her soft drink at a restaurant in south Delhi’s Madanpur Khadar near Sarita Vihar and then taking her to a house in May this year, police said. A case has been filed and police are on the lookout for the suspect.

The woman alleged that the man also raped her in a hotel in Noida last month and had been harassing her by claiming to have in possession her personal photographs and videos.

Police said that the two were earlier in a relationship and had also planned to get married.

A senior police officer, who asked not to be named, said that a first information report (FIR) under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) was registered at the Sarita Vihar police station after the woman lodged her complaint on December 8.

“The CA absconded after the case was registered. He applied for anticipatory bail that was dismissed by a Delhi court on Wednesday. Our teams are looking for him,” the officer said.
