Lawyer commits suicide in Gurgaon court complex

A 32- year old Gurgaon lawyer committed suicide in her chambers at the court complex on Saturday evening.
The lawyer was identified as Hema. She was found hanging from the fan in her porta cabin in Block Bof the judicial complex around 5.30pm, the police said.
Lawyers who came to know of the incident immediately called the police. The body was taken to the mortuary and the postmortem examination will be carried out tomorrow, the police said.
Vikram Nehra, SHO, city police station, said no suicide note was recovered from the chamber. “It seems that family tension and arguments with husband led her to take this extreme step,” he said.
Hema’s husband Manoj and her parents had also reached the spot after being informed about the incident.
Gurgaon Bar Association president Sudesh Yadav said Hema started practising in the court only a year ago and that she hailed from Himachal Pradesh.
“She was a young and talented lawyer and her untimely death is loss to the bar association. I would request all bar members to pray for her soul,” he said.
The couple also has an eight-year old daughter.
