After marathon poll campaign, Yogi Adityanath attends Gujarat govt swearing-in
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to address the ‘prabuddh jan sammelan’ in Mathura on Tuesday. These meetings are being organised district-wise all through the state in the run-up to the forthcoming local bodies elections.
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath, who had campaigned extensively in Gujarat for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), visited the state on Monday to attend the swearing-in ceremony of his Gujarat counterpart Bhupendra Patel.
The BJP retained power by bagging over 150 seats in the state assembly, continuing its 27-year rule in the western state.
Yogi Adityanath had addressed 22 public meetings and held three road shows in 25 assembly constituencies of Gujarat. The BJP won 20 of these assembly seats, party leaders said, pointing out towards Yogi’s successful Gujarat campaign.
“My congratulations to @Bhupendrabjp on again becoming the Gujarat chief minister. I have full confidence that under the able guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and your leadership, Gujarat would achieve newer heights and become an able partner to help realise India’s ‘atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) commitment,” Yogi Adityanath tweeted.
After attending the swearing-in ceremony, Yogi Adityanath returned to Delhi where, after an overnight stay, he will arrive in Lucknow via Mathura.

Preparations for Yogi Adityanath’s meeting were given final shape at VN Poddar Institute of Mathura. After addressing the ‘prabuddhjan sammelan’ (intellectual meet), he would lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various development programmes and projects for public welfare. Mathura would host the last of the “prabuddh jan sammelans” that Yogi Adityanath has been addressing in all 17 mayoral seats.
