Pathak stated that no such list has been released by the Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA).

“The so-called list is fake. It has been created to defame BJP leaders. The issue is being investigated. Action will be taken against those responsible for circulating the fake list,” said Pathak in a statement issued on Monday.

Vishal Singh, vice-chairman of the ADA, on Monday also stated that the list in circulation on the social media was fake and misleading.

Vishal Singh stated that the development authority was identifying illegal plotting in Ayodhya.

Only after their identification, action will be taken against illegal colonies and plotting, he added.

The Ayodhya Development Authority on Sunday denied releasing a purported list of 40 people, including local BJP leaders, allegedly involved in “illegal colonisation” in parts of the temple town

The two- page list, purportedly carrying the signature of ADA lekhpal Ajay Bharti, mentions 40 different areas in Ayodhya where illegal colonies have allegedly mushroomed.
