Cattle owners manhandle Prayagraj Nagar Nigam team

The team reached Bhawapur area and caught three animals and was taking them to the van when their owner and his aides created a ruckus. After an argument, the cattle owner and his aides manhandled the team members.

PRAYAGRAJ: A Prayagraj Nagar Nigam cattle-catching team, which had gone to catch stray cattle in Khuldabad area on Wednesday afternoon, was manhandled by a group. Some women also staged protest before the cattle-catching van.

Nagar Nigam veterinary officer Dr Vijay Amrit Raj said the cattle owners in the area were given notices to not leave the animals on the road but they repeated the offence. (Pic for representation)

The team reached Bhawapur area and caught three animals and was taking them to the van when their owner and his aides created a ruckus. After an argument, the cattle owner and his aides manhandled the team members. The Nagar Nigam security guards controlled the situation and chased away the cattle owner but some women sat on protest before the van.

Despite protest, the team captured three stray animals and brought them to the cattle pound on Noorullah Road.

Nagar Nigam veterinary officer Dr Vijay Amrit Raj said the cattle owners in the area were given notices to not leave the animals on the road but they repeated the offence. Those involved in creating ruckus were being identified and a case would be registered against them.
