The BJP Mahanagar unit on Thursday organised a series of functions in all assembly constituencies to apprise people about good governance of the government, to mark eight years of the Yogi Adityanath government.

The events were attended by deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak, MLC Mukesh Sharma, MLAs Neeraj Bora, Rajeshwar Singh, OP Srivastava, mayor Sushma Kharakwal, and MLC Ramchandra Pradhan.
In the programme organised at Gulab Vatika, at Chandan Nagar, in Cantt assembly constituency, Pathak stated that under the leadership of chief minister Yogi Adityanath, unprecedented changes have taken place in Uttar Pradesh.
Policies of the state government have played an important role in improving infrastructure, law and order and industrial growth.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target of a $5 trillion economy, and to achieve this, the chief minister has also set a target of a $1 trillion economy for Uttar Pradesh,” said Pathak.
Law and order was the biggest challenge in achieving this, but in the last eight years, Uttar Pradesh has established the rule of law. Organised crime and mafia have been eliminated, and the public feels safe, added Pathak.
In another event organised in Aashiana locality, Sarojini Nagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh said that with a growth rate of 11.6%, Uttar Pradesh has become the second-largest economy in the country. Law and order has been strengthened, and Uttar Pradesh is being recognised as the safest and most governed state in the country, Singh added.
In another event organised at Panchayati Raj Bhawan in Puraniya area in Lucknow North assembly segment, MLA Neeraj Bora stated that under the able leadership of the chief minister, the state has become synonymous with good governance and development.
Addressing the gathering at a convention centre in Indira Nagar, in Lucknow East assembly constituency, mayor Sushma Kharakwal said that development projects have been rolled out on a large scale in every ward of the district. In the Lucknow Central assembly constituency, development works worth more than ₹70-80 crore have been done by the municipal corporation, she added.
Speaking at the event organised in Lucknow West assembly segment MLA OP Srivastava stated that unprecedented changes have taken place in the state during the last 8 years.
Also present at the event, MLC Ramchandra Pradhan listed development projects rolled out by the state government in the last eight years.
Mukesh Sharma, who was chief guest at a programme organised at Jhandewala Park in front of Lucknow Nagar Nigam, said that under the leadership of chief minister, Uttar Pradesh is becoming prosperous.
The government is working on the principle of Antyodaya to Sarvodaya, prioritising the interests of the marginalised, oppressed, and economically weaker sections of society, Sharma added.
