Man’s body found in Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar, murder suspected
Police said initial examinations suggested that the man had been murdered and the body had been disposed of there.
A 30-year-old unidentified man was found dead near the SSB building underpass, below Shaheed Path, under the Gomti Nagar extension police station limits, on Wednesday. The man had two injuries on the head.

Lucknow additional deputy commissioner of police (ADCP), East, Syed Ali Abbas, said that the police initially received information that someone was lying injured near the SSB building. He said the man was found dead when the police team reached the spot and examined his condition.
He said the deceased had two injuries, one on the back of his head and another on the forehead. He said it is suspected that he was hit with a blunt object following which he died.
He said the name Anil Kumar Yadav is found tattooed on the left hand of the deceased but no identity card was found on his person and nobody turned up to claim the body till last reports came in. He said the police are making efforts to ascertain the identity of the deceased after sending the body to the mortuary. He said the mystery behind his death could be solved only after his identity is ascertained.
