Campaign to stop spread of diseases begins today

Uttar Pradesh on Saturday will launch a campaign to control the spread of communicable diseases, as part of which patients identified in gram panchayats will be offered treatment at block level, said Dr AK Singh, director-vector-borne diseases, a unit of the state health department. Dr Singh, who was addressing a conclave on Friday, said this campaign, for which surveillance teams had been constituted, would be run in parallel with the ‘Dastak’ programme, set to take place between April 17 and 30.
