State of the art ICU paediatric wards for Nerul and Airoli civic hospitals

NAVI MUMBAI: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has set up two state of the art fully equipped paediatric ICUs at its hospitals in Nerul and Airoli. The paediatric ICUs in Maasaheb Meenatai Thackeray hospital in Nerul and Rajmata Jijau hospital in Airoli have each been equipped with 17 ICU beds, five ventilators, eight ECG machines, two dialysis machines, two RO plants and two 2D echo machines and other such equipment.

NMMC commissioner Abhijit Bangar, “The civic hospitals at Airoli and Nerul started functioning with ICU facility during Covid pandemic and in post-Covid times they will permanently be used to provide efficient medical services for all health issues. Both the ICU wards will be used on a regular basis for children and also for Covid if needed.”
