Woman, paramour held for killing woman’s children
Circle officer of Kotwali Amit Kumar Rai said that the accused identified as Nisha and her paramour Saud Faizi, former councillor of Nagar Nigam, have confessed to their crime and have been taken into custody.
A woman and her paramour killed the woman’s son and daughter in the Khair Nagar locality under the city Kotwali on Wednesday and dumped their bodies into the Ganga Canal, police said.
Circle officer of Kotwali Amit Kumar Rai said that the accused identified as Nisha and her paramour Saud Faizi, former councillor of Nagar Nigam, have confessed to their crime and have been taken into custody. The divers are searching for the bodies of the children in the Ganga Canal. “We shall arrest them after recovering the dead bodies,” said Rai.
The accused, Faizi and Nisha came into contact with each other four years ago. They fell in love and wanted to marry. Nisha’s husband Shahid Beg works in a shoe showroom in the Lalkurti area. According to reports, Faizi used to visit Nisha after her husband and children left for work and school.
Faizi is the only son of his parents and belongs to a well-off family. He divorced his wife and therefore wanted to marry Nisha and the latter also desired a good life. Nisha’s son and daughter were obstacles to their marriage, therefore, they both decided to eliminate them before getting married.
As per their plan, Nisha asked their tutor not to come on Wednesday and she along with Faizi killed both children on Wednesday evening. Faizi then carried their bodies in his car and dumped them into the canal.
Meanwhile, Nisha called her husband and informed him that both children had been missing since evening. The husband arrived home and after failing to locate the children they eventually lodged a complaint at Delhi Gate police station.
CO Rai said CCTV footage was examined, and suspicion pointed towards Nisha. After an intense interrogation, she confessed to her crime. Then teams were formed to arrest Faizi who eventually surrendered at the police station on Wednesday night and confessed his involvement in the crime.
