A hotel owner allegedly attacked a woman customer over a trivial issue in Pimpri-Chinchwad on Monday night, leaving her seriously injured.
As per the complaint filed by the woman, she had dinner at a restaurant-bar based in Chikhali on Monday night. While serving food, a hotel staffer broke a glass. The hotel owner assumed that the complainant was responsible for it.
Following an exchange of words, the accused abused the complainant and when the latter was about to leave the hotel, the angry owner assaulted her.
When the woman customer was waiting at Spine road for vehicle, the hotel owner reached there and pushed her from a bridge. The Chikhali police said the woman suffered serious injuries on her head and legs.
The police have registered a case against the hotel owner under Sections 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide) and 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt). No arrest has been made and investigation is on.
