Standing committee chairman Shrinath Bhimale said regular monitoring is necessary to keep a check on illegal constructions and encroachments across the city.

“This will help ensure transparency and regular monitoring of anti-encroachment action,” he said, adding that the report should also include details of individuals, commercial establishments and builders against whom action has been taken, area of illegal structures demolished, expenditure incurred on the drive, reports submitted by junior engineers, complaints received and demolition charges recovered by the civic body.
