Somaiya had earlier raised doubts about the jumbo Covid hospital project.

Somiya said, “PMC plans to hand over its land at Kharadi, reserved for exhibit centre, to private hands. The municipal commissioner has okayed the proposal forwarded by the administration. The state government and PMC have decided to give this plot to builder. I have sought a stay to the plan and demanded an inquiry.”

An official of municipal administration, on condition of anonymity, without giving details confirmed that the authorities are looking into the proposal.
