Scholarship examination date changed

Maharashtra's scholarship exams for Class 5 and Class 8 are rescheduled to February 22, 2026, due to a clash with the CTET.

The Maharashtra State Examination Council on Tuesday announced revision in the dates of the primary (Class 5) and secondary (Class 8) scholarship examinations. As per the new schedule, both exams will now be conducted on February 22, 2026.

“The earlier date of February 8 next year has been changed as it clashes with the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) that a large number of teachers from Maharashtra are scheduled to take. Further details and updates will be communicated through the official website,” the Council stated.
