SPPU directs colleges to display fees on websites, notice boards

SPPU on Monday directed affiliated colleges and institutions to prominently publish fee structures on their websites and campus notice boards to ensure transparency in admissions and fee collection

Pune: Following the May 13 directive issued by the higher education directorate to display details of all fees, including “other fees”, on notice boards as well as in admission prospectuses, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) on Monday directed affiliated colleges and institutions to prominently publish fee structures on their websites and campus notice boards to ensure transparency in admissions and fee collection. The university has made it mandatory for institutions to ensure that students and parents are informed about the complete fee structure before admission. SPPU has warned colleges against collecting unauthorised or excess fees from students. The university has instructed institutions to submit an online affidavit confirming compliance with the circular.
