At least three Mumbai-bound flights were forced to abort touchdown at the last moment on Friday morning owing to fluctuating runway view amid heavy showers.

The average waiting time was 30 minutes said a Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) spokesperson.

Airlines warned fliers to budget for delays while setting off for the airport. The Jet Airways Twitter handle stated delays of 30 minutes on departures and arrivals up to 1pm.

Budget airline GoAir also tweeted asking people to check their respective flight schedules.
