Don’t forget that we leave the world empty-­handed

Few days ago, I was having a conversation with a hotelier. His tone was melancholic as he expressed that these days running a business and a trade is not profitable.

However, I differed. I believe that such employment is nothing but slavery. An salaried person has to depend on only one source of income. When looked at like this, luxury is the second name of business.

On returning home, I thought for a while and arrived at a conclusion that every man is of the view that the grass is greener on the other side. But the truth is that the only person who is happy is he who is content with what he already has. Satisfaction comes the moment we look at people who are not as fortunate as we are and feel grateful for everything god has blessed us with.

On the other hand, a thankless person is just like a rolling stone. Doubt prevails with the thought that only the wealthiest people are living their lives with gaiety. Reality is other way round: The more we accumulate wealth the more we lose our peace of mind, have sleepless nights, become stressed, sometimes leading to mental ailments.

We should always remember that life is a journey and to make it wonderful and memorable is in our hands. Travelling is a joyful experience only when we’re travelling light. In the same manner, in life if we are busy chasing wordly/material pleasures we will only get a blurred vision of life.

We often forget the bitter truth that on reaching our final destination, we leave this world empty-handed.
