The appointments will be finalised within a week as South Asia's cricket minnows seek to bolster their performance ahead of the 2011 World Cup, to be co-hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in February-April.

"If everything goes well, they could join the team by September before the Bangladesh-New Zealand series in Bangladesh," Bangladesh Cricket Board spokesman Rabeed Imam told AFP.

"Primarily, the appointment will be for the World Cup, and then there is scope for the renewal of the deals."

It will be the first international coaching job for Klusener, who has completed a level-three coaching course in South Africa, if finalised.

Fountain has been the fielding coach of the West Indies, the Pakistani and the English cricket teams.

Bangladesh, coached by Australian Jamie Siddons, have lost all but two of their 29 one-day internationals this year.
