Under the shadow of their male counterparts, the women cricketers will strive to steal eyeballs when India take on New Zealand here on Thursday.
In the inaugural match on Wednesday, West Indies beat South Africa by 17 runs, thanks to Deandra Dottin 45 ball-112.
Ahead of the tournament, India lost their first warm-up match against defending champions England but fought hard to pull off a win against South Africa. India have a few big hitters in the team with their key batsman Mithali Raj showing form in the warm-up matches.
