Australia’s loss in their final group game against England ensured they wouldn’t make the semi-finals of the ICC Champions Trophy this year. Having two games washed out didn’t really help their cause, but it’s still a bad result for Steve Smith and co. since they were seen as pre-tournament favourites by many.

One such person was Shane Warne. The Aussie cricket legend was so confident of a victory that he made a bet with Sourav Ganguly. The former India captain believed that England shouldn’t be underestimated and correctly predicted that England would beat Australia.

As a result of this bet, Shane Warne must now wear an England shirt for one whole day. This was something Warne confirmed on Twitter as well, much to the amusement of many.

If Ganguly had lost the bet, he would have had to buy Warne dinner and wear an Australia jersey for a whole day. As things stand, fans can now enjoy the sight of the legendary leg spinner wearing the shirt of Australia’s biggest cricketing rival for one whole day.
