Afghanistan’s dream run at the ICC U-19 cricket World Cup came to an end on Monday after they lost to Australia by six wicket s at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch in the semi-final of the tournament on Monday. Afghanistan won the toss and opted to bat, but Jonathan Merlo’s 4/24 saw the Afghans being bowled out for 181. In response, Jack Edwards’ 72 helped the Aussies cruise to a comfortable win.
