Chasing a target of 196 runs, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 162 in 18.5 overs, with Vinay Kumar taking a three-wicket haul. Initially, India captain Sachin Tendulkar won the toss and opted to bat. An unbeaten knock of 108 runs off 71 balls by Naman Ojha helped India post 195 for six in 20 overs. His innings also included 15 fours and two sixes. Meanwhile, Nuwan Kulasekara was in good form for Sri Lanka and bagged three wickets in three overs.
