"Cricket is a passion for a large number of our customers, and by bringing the excitement of the matches to our customers on their mobile phones, Etisalat is enabling them to experience the action as it happens," Khalifa Al Shamsi, Etisalat's Vice-President (Marketing and Consumers), said.
"This is the second major cricket tournament we are telecasting on our Mobile TV, and follows the runaway success of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007."
The service, spread over five weeks, will be available for 35 dirhams (Rs 350) per week.
For customers who do not have 3G-enabled mobile handsets, the company provides SMS alerts during the match.
