India, batting first, made 104 for eight wickets and Australia reached 105 for two in 17.2 overs. In the other Group A clash, England defeated Pakistan by 43 runs.
Opener Poonam Raut (21) was the top-scorer but the modest effort was too litle against the Aussies.
