Stat Attack: Mayank Agarwal
Back-to-back single digit score for Mayank Agarwal this season against DC:
He scored 6 off 9 deliveries in their last match (Match #13)
Mayank Agarwal was not looking in control and the extra pace of Kagiso Rabada proved to be his downfall. He mistimed the shot completely and Rutherford completed a good catch. KXIP 46/2
Stand and deliver
Ishant Sharma started the over well but Chris Gayle had some other plans. A boundary through third man followed by a massive six through long-on! The Universe Boss is going strong! KXIP 26/1
Stat Attack: KL Rahul
KL Rahul, since the fastest fifty in IPL, which he scored against DC last season, has scored 50 runs in his last 3 innings against them. Today, he started well but was dismissed cheaply.
KL Rahul out
A brilliant work behind the wicket for Rishabh Pant and Sandeep Lamichhane has got the wicket of KL Rahul. He got 10 runs off the first three balls but a quick work by the wicket-keeper and KXIP have lost their first wicket. KXIP 13/1
Start of play
Chris Gayle and KL Rahul started proceedings for Kings XI Punjab while Ishant Sharma bowled the first over for Delhi Capitals. A cautious start by both the batsmen but if they get going, KXIP can expect a huge total.

DC opt to field
Delhi Capitals won the toss and decided to field against Kings XI Punjab. Changes on both sides!
Focus on Pant
Rishabh Pant will again be in focus after his fiercely-debated World Cup exclusion, having failed in Thursday’s defeat at the hands of Mumbai Indians.
Disappointed at being ignored for the showpiece, the highly-rated young wicketkeeper-batsman will certainly look to prove a point.
In Other News
BCCI Ombudsman Justice DK Jain on Saturday slapped a fine of Rs 20 lakh each on cricketers KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya for their certain acts of misconduct on a television show.
Both Rahul and Hardik have to “pay a sum of Rs 1 lakh to each of the most deserving widows of ten constables in para-military forces who lost their lives while on duty, through the medium of Bharat Ke Veer App”. Moreover, they have to “deposit a sum of Rs 10 lakh in the fund created by Cricket Association for the blind for the promotion of the game of cricket for the blind.”
Delhi Capitals spin bowling coach Samuel Badree feels that the spinners have a huge role to play on a slow pitch here and the team selection is going to be crucial ahead of their IPL match against Kings XI Punjab on Saturday.
“I think the spinners will be very important, especially here at Kotla we have seen that the pitch is a little bit slow. There has been variable bounce and we saw that against Mumbai Indians as well. Their spinners were very crucial through the power-play and the middle overs,” said Badree.
Chris Gayle is turning 40 this year but is still performing at a rate which leaves him invaluable

up in 2018).
