Rishabh Pant did not clear the fitness test so Alex Carey will continue to keep wickets for Delhi Capitals. DC handed debut to right-arm pacer Tushar Deshpande in place of Harshal Patel. Royals on the other hand, went in with an unchanged side. Follow DC vs RR, IPL 2020 Highlights here:
Delhi Capitals win
A superb last over by Tushar Deshpande, he finishes off with the wicket of Shreyas Gopal and the Delhi Capitals have won the match by 13 runs. They conceded only 25 runs in the last 5 overs. If we thought the Royals death-bowling was good, the Capitals’ one was better.
Ajinkya Rahane saves a six
Wow what a terrific effort in the long off boundary from Ajinkya Rahane. He hold on to the catch but released the ball as soon as he realised he was falling over.
23:01 hrs ISTRabada to Archer: OUT
A simple catch in the covers, no timing on that shot from Jofra Archer. The two gun-pacers of the Delhi Capitals - Rabada and Nortje - are closing this match out here.
22:57 hrs ISTExcellent over from Nortje
A single to finish. Just 4 runs off the 18th over and the important wicket of Robin Uthappa in it. Anrich Nortje you beauty. The equation has come down to 25 off 12 balls now.
22:53 hrs ISTNortje to Uthappa: OUT
BOWLED! A yorker at 150. You can’t get deadlier than that. Robin Uthappa had no chance of keeping that one out after he had danced down the track. The Capitals are well and truly in it.
22:48 hrs ISTRabada to Tewatia: FOUR
Excellent shot from Rahul Tewatia. He sensed Rabada is going to bowl a bouncer, kept his weight on the backfoot and just ramped it over the keeper’s head for a boundary. Important boundary, RR now need 29 runs in the last 3 overs.
22:44 hrs ISTWhat a brilliant over from R Ashwin
Four dots and only two singles - That’s Ravi Ashwin for you. The equation has just got very interesting now after that tidy over. The Royals need 37 runs off 24 balls with 5 wicket in hand.
22:41 hrs ISTDC vs RR live score: Last 5 overs remain
8 runs from Tushar Deshpande’s over and there should’ve been a wicket but for that drop catch. So the Royals now need 39 runs off 30 balls, one would think they should get these runs.
22:38 hrs ISTNortje drops Tewatia
Of that could prove to be very costly miss. It was pulled straight to Anrich Nortje at fine leg and he drops it despite setting himself up nicely underneath it, disappointment from the debutant Tushar Deshpande.
22:31 hrs ISTRiyan Parag is run out
Sold down the river. That was a terrible c all from Robin Uthappa. He hit it straight back to the bowler Axar Patel and started to run, when Parag responded he sent him back. The young man had no chance of coming back. Good work from Patel too, he knocked the stumps down.
22:29 hrs IST11 runs from Anrich Nrotje’s over
A six and a four from Uthappa’s bat in that Anrich Nrotje over, 11 runs from it. At the end of 13 over the Royals have reached 110 for 4, need 52 off 42 balls.
22:26 hrs ISTNortje to Uthappa: FOUR
Short and wide from Nortje and Uthappa cuts it away to the right of Rahane at point. No chance for the deep cover fielder, it was a very well-timed shot from the experienced campaigner.
22:23 hrs ISTAxar to Samson: OUT
BOWLED! Straight through, a big roar from Axar Patel. It’s revenge for him. He was hit for his first two sixes in this IPL by Samson and now he has come back to get his wicket. it was definitely bit too close to cut. Samson has to go.
22:16 hrs ISTObstructing the field appeal against Robin Uthappa
Didn Robin Uthappa change his course while running after seeing the throw, that is what will be checked by the third umpire. From the replays, it looks like he had turned his back before Shikhar Dhawan threw the ball And yes, the third umpire rules it not out. It was actually clever from Uthappa. He knew that the throw would be towards him, so changed his line and got his timing right.
22:13 hrs ISTDeshande to Stokes: OUT
Tushar Deshpande has got his maiden IPL wicket and it’s the bug one of Ben Stokes. It was a slower delivery, Stokes, who charged down the wicket, did not pick it. he ended up giving up a simple catch to long on. RR: 86/3
22:11 hrs ISTGood over from Ashwin
Only 4 singles, that’s a very good over from the experienced R Ashwin and he almost forced the false shot from Stokes. We are halfway through and RR at 85 for 2, needing 77 off 60 balls.
22:07 hrs ISTAxar to Samson: SIX
The most economical bowler of DC is going the journey today. It was a short one, Samson hopped on the backfoot in the wink of an eye and pulled it away deep into the stands. Royals: 81 for 2 after 9 overs.
22:05 hrs ISTAxar to Stokes: FOUR
Reverse sweep played to perfection by Ben Stokes. He is a master at these type of shots. Nothing much wrong from Axar Patel, Stokes just played with the field and got enough connection to get it over the in-field for a boundary. RR:74/2
22:02 hrs ISTAshwin to Stokes: FOUR
That was a hit me ball from Ashwin. It was on the pads with the fine leg up and Ben Stokes is too good a player to let that opportunity go. He pulls it away over fine leg for a boundary.
21:57 hrs ISTAxar to Samson: SIX
That’s huge! A monstrous six from Sanju Samson’s bat. He dances down the track, reaches the pitch of the ball hits it deep into the stands, that’s almost as big as the six MS Dhoni hit last night.
21:55 hrs ISTEnd of powerplay
A calm end to the powerplay after a high-octane start, 7 runs from Kagiso Rabada’s 2nd over. The Rajasthan Royals have reached 50 for 2 after 6 overs.
21:51 hrs ISTShreyas Iyer hurts his shoulder
DC captain Shreyas Iyer has walked off the field grabbing his left shoulder. He dived to save the ball in the last ball of the fifth over and in the process jarred his shoulder with the ground. He looked to be in some pain while walking off. And looks it will be Shikhar Dhawan who will take over the captaincy for the time being.
21:49 hrs ISTNortje bowls a good over
Three balls over 150, that is becoming a quite a norm for Anrich Nrotje here. Only 3 runs from it, time to rebuild for the Rajasthan Royals.
21:43 hrs ISTRR lose second wicket
Steve Smith’s short innings came to an end as Ashwin takes a catch off his own bowling. He could only manage one run off 4 balls. Sanju Samson comes into bat. RR 40/2 after 4 overs.
21:39 hrs ISTNortje castles Buttler
He was going for big runs with Buttler smashing the ball all over the park. But the South African made an impressive comeback by castling Buttler.RR 37/1 after 3 overs.
21:35 hrs ISTHuge six from Buttler
It was an effortless glance from Jos Buttler and it travelled all the way for a six. RR needs Buttler to fire today.
21:32 ISTStokes hits a four
Ben Stokes has smashed a four off the bowling of Tushar Deshpande.
21:29 hrs ISTRabada to Buttler: FOUR
That was creamed through the covers. Both Stokes and Buttler have got off the mark with superbly timed shots. This was a fuller length delivery from Rabada, Buttler transfers his weight beautifully to the front foot and just strokes it through the covers.
21:28 hrs ISTRabada to Stokes: FOUR
WOW what a start to the RR innings. Archer had started off by dismissing Prithvi Shaw and now Ben Stokes starts with a scorching flick shot off Rabada for a boundary.
21:25 hrs ISTBen Stokes and Jos Buttler open the batting for RR
Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler will begin the RR chase and Kagiso Rabada will start the proceedings for Delhi Capitals.
21:13 hrs ISTDC end with 161/7 after 20 overs
2 wickets in the last 3 balls and Delhi Capitals finish with 161 for 7 after 20 overs. It has been a brilliant performance by the death-ball bowlers of Rajasthan Royals bowlers. Jofra Archer has been outstanding, with figures of 3 for 19.
21:08 hrs ISTDC can’t get boundaries
3 balls of the 19th over bowled and DC managed to score only 4 runs from it. Alex Carey and Axar Patel can’t find the boundaries, really good stuff from Unadkat.
21:05 hrs ISTJofra Archer gets Marcus Stoinis
OUT! Wonderful stuff by Rajasthan Royals, Jofra Archer ends up with three wickets. 14 dots in his 4 overs. Marcus Stoinis has to go. Delhi Capitals 153/5 with only 1 over to go.
21:00 hrs ISTExcellent over from Kartik Tyagi
Pinpoint yorkers from Kartik Tyagi, only 5 runs from the over. Delhi are not getting the finish here. They are 148 for 4 after 18 overs.
20:55 hrs ISTArcher to Carey: SIX
Alex Carey made room and hit that Jofra Archer bouncer for a flat six. That’s what he can do when he gets going and DC would be hoping he gets going tonight.
20:50 hrs ISTKartik Tyagi gets Shreyas Iyer
OUT! What a way to end a magnificent over from Kartik Tyagi. It was full outside off, Iyer went for a big heave, got a top edge and Jofra Archer takes a good running catch. Iyer has to go for a well-made 53. DC: 132/4 with only 4 overs to go now.
20:44 hrs ISTGood try Ben Stokes but it’s a six
That was mighty close but the third umpire rules it in favour of Shreyas Iyer and Delhi Capitals and rightly so. Ben Stokes feet touched the ground before he could release the ball and so it’s a six, it also brings up Iyer’s fifty off 40 balls.
20:41 hrs ISTA milestone for Shreyas Iyer
SIX! That came out of nowhere. Shreyas Iyer had been playing second-fiddle to Dhawan for a long time but now he is set and he shows what he can. A length ball from Unadkat and KIIyer just slogs it over long on for a six. He has also brought up 1000 runs in the IPL as captain.
20:38 hrs IST1000 runs and counting as Captain for @ShreyasIyer15 👏#Dream11IPL pic.twitter.com/BA3Qdfbtny

IPL 2020 live score, DC vs RR: 14 overs bowled
8 runs from Shreyas Gopal’s over. The Delhi Capitals are 112/3 after 14 overs. We’ve seen some big finishes in this IPL and there is no reason why we can’t see another one of those tonight with Iyer and Stoinis still in the middle.
20:33 hrs ISTDC vs RR live score: Shreyas Iyer hits a four
Super shot from the DC captain, over extra cover and away she goes for a boundary. That will also bring an end to the 13th over. DC: 104/3
20:28 hrs ISTShreyas Gopal to Shikhar Dhawan: OUT
Oh no no what have you done Shikhar Dhawan? He was hitting the same ball over extra cover but suddenly decides to go for the reverse sweep, gets an outside edge and Kartik Tyagi at short third man takes a simple catch. Dhawan departs for 57. DC 95/3
20:26 hrs ISTFifty for Shikhar Dhawan
A nice tap down the leg side and an easy single to complete his 39th IPL fifty. This has been one of his best innings so far and one gets the feeling he is just warming up for a big one.
20:23 hrs ISTTewatia to Dhawan: FOUR
That was beautiful from Shikhar Dhawan. It was a flighted delivery from Tewatia, Dhawan goes to the pitch of the ball with a big stride and uses his beautiful hands to lost it over the extra cover fielder. The ball bounces away over the ropes.
20:19 hrs ISTStokes to Iyer: FOUR
What happened there? Iyer lost the grip of his bat but had enough to almost carry the ball over the ropes straight over the bowler’s head. In the end, it lands just inside the boundary ropes and results in a four.
20:15 hrs ISTDC vs RR: End of 9 overs
Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer have taken Delhi Capitals to 68 for 2 at the end of 9 overs as the umpire signals for the for the first strategic timeout of the match.
20:10 hrs ISTTewatia to Dhawan: FOUR
Sanju Samson did the right thing by going for the catch but it bounced way in front of him and bounced over his diving figure to the deep mid wicket boundary. Dhawan did not time that slog sweep perfectly and more importantly did not pick the gap but thankfully for him, he got a boundary. DC: 61/2 after 8 overs
20:07 hrs ISTSpin from both ends for Royals
After a five-run over from leg-spinner Shreyas Iyer, Stee Smith has thrown the ball to his other leggie Rahul Tewatia. It will be spin from ends now for the Royals.
20:04 hrs ISTDC end powerplay on a high
14 runs off the kartik Tyagi over, the most expensive one of the DC innings. Shikhar Dhawan looks to be in fine touch today and the Capitals have recovered from the early jolts to end the powerplay at 47 for 2.
20:00 hrs ISTShikhar Dhawan in the mod
FOUR! Once again smacked off the middle of the bat. You don’t bowl short and wide to Dhawan when he’s in that sort of mood. No chance for the cover fielders and once gets the feeling that DC are clawing their way back in the game.
19:57 hrs ISTStokes to Iyer: FOUR
This a good counter-attack from Iyer and Dhawan. They realised that the Royals are all over them in this powerplay. Iyer backs away and hits the Stokes length delivery over mid-on to collect the second boundary of the over. DC: 33/2 after 5 overs.
19:54 hrs ISTBen Stokes to Dhawan: FOUR
SLAMMED! Right out of the middle of the bat from Shikhar Dhawan. It was short and wide from Stokes, those are bread and butter for Dhawan. He stands up tall and smacks it through the covers and it reaches the boundary ropes in no time.
19:50 hrs ISTTyagi to Dhawan: SIX
Cracker of a pull shot from Tyagi. It was an attempted bouncer from Tyagi but not high enough, Dhawan swivelled and pulled it flat over fine leg for a six, that’s the first maximum of the match.
19:48 hrs ISTKartik Tyagi into the attack
This is a good move by Steve Smith. He saw there is a bit of juice in the wicket and immediately got his second quickest bowler Kartik Tyagi into the attack. Can the young man have a similar impact Archer?
19:44 hrs ISTJofra Archer to Ajinkya Rahane: OUT
CAUGHT! Ajinkya Rahane succumbs to pressure. Jofra Archer was on to him. He gave no room to him whatsoever and Rahane felt the need to take him on but he chose the wrong ball. There was no timing on that one and he was holed out at mid-on. Rahane goes for 2. DC: 10/2
19:41 hrs ISTJaydev Unadkat to Shikhar Dhawan: FOUR
Something was coming, you could sense it. DC had scored only 6 runs 1.5 overs and Shikhar Dhawan decided to have a go at Jaydev Unadkat. It was shortish delivery, Dhawan got on the backfoot and played the short-arm pull shot to perfection to collect DC’s first boundary today.
19:35 hrs ISTTerrific start by Jofra Archer
All the deliveries were in the high 140s, a fired up Jofra Archer has given an early wake up call for the DC batsmen. Only 3 runs off the first over and he had Rahane, Dhawa hopping after cleaning up Shaw off the first ball.
19:30 hrs ISTArcher to Prithvi Shaw: OUT
BOWLED! What a start to the game. Jofra Archer has dismissed Prithvi Shaw. It was a length delivery, fast and came back in a touch. Shaw went for an expansive drive with a big gap between bat and pad. There was an inside edge and it hit the top of middle stump.
19:28 hrs ISTIPL live score, DC vs RR
A huddle and the Rajasthan Royals players are out in the middle. They know the importance of getting a few early wickets to unsettle the strong Indian batting unit of Delhi Capitals. It will be Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw who will open for DC.
19:22 hrs ISTDouble century for Steve Smith
This is the 200th T20 match for Rajasthan Royals captain Steve Smith. A great milestone for a great player. Smith would be looking to make the occasions special by producing a top-class performance with the bat.
19:19 hrs ISTBen Stokes will open, Steve Smith confirms
Rajasthan Royals captain Steve Smith at the toss: I was gonna bat as well. Hopefully we can bowl well, restrict them and chase it later on. It’s obviously used wicket and hopefully we will put some pressure with the ball. We are playing the same team. And yes, Ben (Stokes) will open again.
19:17 hrs ISTShreyas Iyer says they will miss Rishabh Pant
Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer at the toss: It’s been dry and like we saw the other games, it’s holding a bit. We want to approach every game positively and we got really good bowling attack to execute our plans. We got good back-ups who can come and perform, we are definitely missing him (Pant).
19:11 hrs ISTTushar Deshpande makes his IPL debut
Big moment for Mumbai right-arm pacer Tushar Deshpande. He is making his IPL debut today. He has replaced Harshal Patel in the DC playing XI. Deshpande has been one of the most consistent performers in the domestic circuit but the IPL cap had somehow eluded them. But finally, he has got his opportunity today.

19:01 hrs ISTDC vs RR: Toss
Delhi Capitals win the toss and opt to bat first against Rajasthan Royals in Dubai.
18:54 hrs ISTDC vs RR - Pitch Report
A lot drier that what we have seen in the last 3 weeks, there are patches of grass but don t think that would make much of a difference. This a new ball wicket, and not only for the seamers, you’ve got a lot in it for the spinners too. Win the toss and bat first definitely: Kevin Pietersen and Pommie Mbangwa with their pitch report.
18:50 hrs ISTMarcus Stoinis has been a star for Delhi Capitals
Marcus Stoinis is yet to get the Player of the Match award this year but he has had a major to play in almost all of Delhi Capitals’ victories this season. He has been a gun-player for them with the bat, providing the finishing touches and with the ball too he has giving them the crucial breakthroughs.

Delhi Capitals: Prithvi Shaw, Marcus Stoinis, Kagiso Rabada, R Ashwin, Axar Patel.
Rajasthan Royals: Steve Smith, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Rahul Tewatia, Jofra Archer.
18:37 hrs ISTRishabh Pant enjoying himself
Live images show Rishabh Pant having a quite laugh with Delhi Capitals assistant coach Mohammed Kaif. He even carried Kaif for sometime, surely he can’t be doing that with a hamstring injury? The DC fans would be hoping that Pant is fit to play today.
18:28 hrs ISTWill Rishabh Pant play today?
Well we’ve got some interesting news coming up. The live visuals show Rishabh Pant going through a fitness test that means the Delhi Capitals are quite desperate to play Pant today against Royals. The earlier updates had indicated that Pant may be out for at least a week but looks like DC want to keep no stones unturned to get Pant up and running.
18:20 hrs ISTDelhi Capitals Predicted XI vs Rajasthan Royals

Here is some fantasy teams for those who love the thrill to be a selector. Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, Steve Smith, Sanju Samson, Robin Uthappa, Rahul Tewatia, Riyan Parag, Jofra Archer, Shreyas Gopal, Jaydev Unadkat, Kartik Tyagi.
18:10 hrs ISTAshwin and Axar Patel key in DC bowling attack
The DC spin unit has been one of the cornerstones of their success. Delhi Capitals’ spinners have conceded 284 runs (least by a team) at an economy of 6.45 (best by a team) having conceded 23 boundaries (only team spinners to have conceded less than 25 boundaries).
The current DC duo of Ashwin and Axar Patel picked up 6 wickets each at an economy of 7.40 and 5.0 respectively. Axar’s economy of 5.05 is the 3rd best by a spinner this season. Axar is also the only bowler to have not been hit for a six after bowling 90+ balls
Ashwin has been a tad expensive but has had the better of Jos Buttler in the IPL, even though he has dismissed him just once (in the previous match against RR), Buttler hasn’t been able to score freely against him
18:05 hrs ISTDC vs RR - Who will win today?
The experts are divided in this. Former Australia pacer Brett Lee backed Delhi Capitals to win this one while legendary West Indian batsman Brian Lara picked Rajasthan Royals to drive away with the momentum.
18:00 hrs IST1 hour to go for toss in DC vs RR, IPL 2020 match
We are exactly 1 hour away from the toss in the Delhi Capitals vs Rajasthan Royals Indian Premier League in Dubai. What should the captains do? Well, considering the slow nature of the pitches everywhere in Dubai, chances are high that both captains would want to bat first.

DC vs RR: Should Ben Stoke continue to open for Royals?
I think he should to be honest. Steve Smith was pretty happy to know at the post-match presentation that his move to send Stokes up with Buttler had surprised many. With Tewatia and Riyan Parag proving that they can be trusted to provide the finishing touches to the Royals innings, it might not be a bad idea to continue with Stokes and Buttler at the top. And besides, after a couple of days of training Stokes is sure to have shrugged off his quarantine blues.
17: 42 hrs ISTAjinkya Rahane at No.3 for Delhi Capitals
Rishabh Pant’s injury has finally opened up the doors for Ajinkya Rahane. He played his first match of this IPL against MI. With Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw opening the innings, Rahane had to bat at No.3 and looks like he will continue to bat at the same position against the Royals today.
17:38 hrs ISTDC vs RR, IPL 2020 live score: Raise your hand if you are a Rahul Tewatia fan
Well I’d the first one to raise my both hands. If 2020 is the toughest question paper, then Rahul is the answer. What a time he has had in this IPL. Tewatia once again played a major role in helping RR end their 4-match losing run against SRH.Tewatia top scored with an unbeaten 45 with a strike rate of 160.71.
He has now scored 189 runs, among RR players only Samson has scored more. However, Tewatia’s average of 37.80 is the highest by a RR player. (More than 4 innings). Rahul Tewatia is the only player to score 3 30+ scores for RR in IPL 2020 and has faced the most balls by an RR player in IPL 2020. He has a strike rate of 152.41, 3rd best by a RR player.
17:30 hrs ISTPrithvi Shaw, the man to watch out in Delhi Capitals
Prithvi Shaw is the 2nd highest scorer for DC this season having scored 202 runs at a strike rate of 150.74 His strike rate is 2nd best in the DC side among players who have played 100+ balls. His 2 fifty plus scores are the joint most by a DC player this season. He has been a revelation in the powerplay. Prithvi Shaw is the only player to score 100+ runs at a strike rate of above 140 in this IPL.
17:22 hrs ISTDC vs RR live score, IPL 2020: Can Royals turn it around
Two youngsters - Riyan Parag and Rahul Tewatia stitched a super partnership against SRH to bring RR back to winning ways. Ben Stokes too is back in mix and we expect him to hit the straps soon. If the Royals can beat DC then it will open up the points table.
17:16 hrs ISTIshant Sharma ruled out from IPL 2020
Rishabh Pant’s injury is not the only concern for DC. Their most experienced pacer Ishant Sharma was ruled out of the entire tournament. It is true that Ishant wasn’t playing an active part in DC’s playing XI but his presence in the dressing room was of immense importance. DC had the option to even rest one among Anrich Nortje or Kagiso Rabada and play Ishan. But now, there will be added pressure on the South Africa pacers to bear the burden.
17:10 hrs ISTDC vs RR - What happened when they met last time
On October 9, Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals met for the first time in IPL 2020. In the match Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stonis pushed DC to 184 for 8, batting first. In reply, the Royals never quite looked like chasing the total down, they were bowled out for 138 in 19.4 overs as DC won by 46 runs.
17:00 hrs ISTRishabh Pant’s injury big set back for DC
DC captain Shreyas Iyer confirmed in their last match against MI that Rishabh Pant is out for more than a week with a hamstring injury. This is set to completely change the balance of the DC side. Not only Pant was a crucial batsman but his presence in the side also allowed DC to play Shimron Hetmyer as an overseas batsman but now they have play Alax Carrey as the wicket-keeper batsman, meaning Hetmyer might find it difficult to get a spot in the XI.
16:50 hrs ISTIPL 2020 live score, DC vs RR
Hello and welcome to the live coverage of IPL 2020 match No.30 between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai.
