IPL Auction 2023 Highlights: The IPL 2023 mini-auction in Kochi saw franchises break banks on all-rounders. Sam Curran was roped in by Punjab Kings for ₹18.5 crore, making him the most expensive player in the history of the lucrative T20 league. Australian all-rounder Cameron Green was roped in by Mumbai Indians for 17.5 crore. Ben Stokes, was another all-rounder in demand, as Chennai Super Kings purchased him for 16.25 crore. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals made last minute addition as the former roped in Shakib Al Hasan for 1.5 crore, while Rajasthan bought Joe Root for ₹1 crore. Sunrisers Hyderabad purchased Harry Brook for ₹13.5 crore.
