IPL 2025, MI vs SRH Highlights: Mumbai Indians incredibly lost two wickets with the scores level and went an entire over bowled by Eshan Malinga needing just one more run to win. Tilak Varma then ended the wait first ball of the very next over. MI beat SRH by four wickets.

After a quiet start to their innings, the middle overs saw the scoring rate completely dry up, as regular wickets stopped them from getting a move on. A pair of wickets for Will Jacks stalled SRH’s momentum. Nevertheless, a late flurry of death hitting from Heinrich Klaasen and Aniket Verma helped SRH finish on 162-5 at the end of their 20 overs, setting up a tricky chase in Mumbai.

Mumbai Indians put on a bowling clinic at the Wankhede Stadium, completely controlling the SRH batting early in the innings and not letting them get away. Travis Head’s struggle in the middle came to an end as he became Will Jacks’ second victim on the night. The Australian batted at less than a run a ball, scoring 28(29). His wicket left SRH at 82-3, with less than 9 overs left in their innings to put up a defendable total on a chasing-friendly Wankhede wicket.

A powerplay full of chances and half-chances for Mumbai Indians, but no wicket forthcoming for the hosts at the Wankhede Stadium. After an early dropped chance shelled by Will Jacks, MI did manage to keep SRH’s devastating openers quiet, even though Abhishek Sharma somewhat caught up with a 14-run over off Deepak Chahar. That said, a powerplay MI will be happy with, 46-0 after the first 6.

Earlier, Hardik Pandya won the toss and said that Mumbai Indians are bowling first. They are unchanged for this match, as are the Sunrisers Hyderabad with both sides coming into it on the back of wins that broke their respective losing streaks.
