Uttar Pradesh's only Test centre - the Green Park Stadium - is on the verge of losing the hosting rights of yet another international tie. There is every chance that the third Test between India and Australia in March next year will be shifted to Hyderabad after a Cricket Australia (CA) team expressed displeasure over the condition the venue is in.

The appalling pollution standards in the industrial town apart, the poor standard of the pavilion and the dining facility played a big role in the CA team expressing its 'displeasure' with the venue.

Enough time
However, BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla, also the secretary of UPCA, felt that there was enough time to look into their complaint. "We have written to the CA to reconsider their stand. A student area had collapsed and the ongoing construction there didn't go down well with CA officials. But it'll be fine soon."

Despite his assurance, a UPCA official on condition of anonymity said that making big changes in the players' pavilion and dining hall, also complained about, won't be possible so soon.
