"There is no truth in such claims that a complaint was made to BCCI regarding Yuvraj. Yuvraj is a great player but is currently out of form, which can happen to any cricketer. People should not read too much into the issue," Shukla said.

The BCCI spokesman was reacting to reports that Yuvraj, stripped of captaincy before IPL III, wanted to join Mumbai Indians but was not obliged by the Kings XI Punjab management, who complained to BCCI about the development, fearing the sulking player might deliberately under-perform.

"I think Yuvraj is just out of form and to say that he has intentionally under-performed is extremely unfair and wrong," Shukla said.

Yuvraj is also reportedly not in best of terms with Kumar Sangakkara, who replaced him as Kings XI captain even though both of them dismissed it.
