At the felicitation of the team at the Wankhede Stadium in South Mumbai, Pawar said the young brigade has brought an all-new dimension to Indian cricket.

Commenting on the fans' frenzy witnessed on Wednesday, Pawar said he was reminded of a similar mood in 1971 while welcoming the victorious team led by Ajit Wadekar. That team was also felicitated at the same stadium.

All the players of the team were presented with the awards announced by the BCCI and other bodies.

Earlier, the players did a 30-km victory parade through the city in a specially made open bus dancing and waving to the crowds on the streets.
