Suresh Raina takes Break the Beard challenge, fulfils daughter Gracia’s wish
Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has taken #BreakTheBeard challenge and joined the likes of fellow players such as Zaheer Khan, Ravindra Jadeja, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya.
Suresh Raina is winning hearts, for he becomes the latest cricketer to have taken ‘Break The Beard’ challenge that has been making a lot of noise for a while now. On Tuesday, Raina took to his social media accounts and posted a video of him showing his old and new looks.
“I realised tht my little daughter is not so fond of the beard so this 1 for you Gracia.Presenting my#BreakTheBeard look #newlook #summerlook (sic),” he captioned the video in the cutest possible way. Indeed, Raina is the doting dad, who won’t going that extra mile for his daughter.
Having taken the challenge, Raina has joined the list of cricketers including Zaheer Khan, Ravindra Jadeja, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya; who have already taken #Breakthebeard challenge.
The video on Instagram has already received 215,828 views already [at the time of writing the story] and continues to receive praiseworthy comments from fans.
Some of the comments read: ‘Looking smart’ and ‘Woowww...1 no. look’. Some of his fans have even lauded his effort to make his daughter happy. Their comments read: ‘Cutest dad and daughter duo’ and ‘Lovely papa’.

However, some fans are even urging him to go back to his previous look with comments such as ‘Bhai your first look was great ’.
Last week, cricketer Zaheer Khan, former Delhi Daredevils captain in the recently concluded Indian Premier League, also took the #Breakthebeard challenge when he tweeted: “Is a fuzzy beard your nightmare?Well why fear it when you can just break it. Presenting my #BreakTheBeard #timetraveller look (sic).”
Khan’s lady love, actor Sagarika Ghatge, was all praise for his new look and she took to Instagram and posted a picture with him and wrote, “Came back home to this stranger @zakkhan34 doing #breakthebeard rather well.”
In the past, cricketers such as Ravindra Jadeja, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya also took a break from their rugged look, opting for just a moustache and a stubble. However, it was cricketer Virat Kohli, who isn’t ready to #BreakTheBeard just yet.
