Deepesh Devendran is a right-arm fast bowler from Tamil Nadu who has emerged as one of the country's promising young pace prospects. The son of former Tamil Nadu cricketer V Devendran, he was introduced to sport at an early age and worked his way through the state age-group system. His height, smooth action and ability to generate steep bounce have combined with genuine pace, with his bowling regularly pushing beyond 140kph.
Deepesh's rise gathered momentum with India Under-19, where he was part of the side that finished runners-up at the 2025 Under-19 Asia Cup before going on to feature in the 2026 Under-19 World Cup-winning campaign. He has also represented India A/B at youth level and impressed in multi-day cricket, including a five-wicket haul against Australia Under-19.
He made his Tamil Nadu Premier League debut for Siechem Madurai Panthers in 2026, immediately turning heads by touching 146kph and consistently bowling in the mid-140s. The spell showcased not just his raw pace but also the bounce he can extract from his frame, while his performances further raised his profile after his Under-19 exploits. With senior domestic cricket now the next step, Deepesh has the pace and early experience to develop into an exciting fast-bowling prospect for Tamil Nadu.
