RCB vs CSK: MS Dhoni returns from injury as Chennai Super Kings face Royal Challengers Bangalore
MS Dhoni – struggling with back spasm - was rested for their last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, the first time he didn’t lead the yellow brigade since 2010.
MS Dhoni returned from injury as Chennai Super Kings won the toss and opted to field during their Indian Premier League (IPL) encounter against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Bengaluru on Sunday.
Dhoni – struggling with back spasm - was rested for their last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, the first time he didn’t lead the yellow brigade since 2010. Suresh Raina was handed over the captaincy for the match, which CSK eventually lost by six wickets.

Dhoni replaced Karn Sharma in the CSK Playing XI while Dwayne Bravo came in for Sam Billings.
“We will bowl first. Difficult wicket to defend and also the dew factor. It is already a bit wet. The dew will intensify as the game progresses. They are quite a few areas as I have said in the past. The last game was not up to the mark. In the league phase you can have games like that. The important thing is to see the mistakes, the batting department can do slightly better and put more runs on the board. Bravo comes in, so Sam and Karn miss this game,” Dhoni said at the toss.

On the other hand, RCB also saw the return of a major figure as AB De Villiers was included in place of compatriot Heinrich Klaasen. There was one more change for RCB as Umesh Yadav replaced Mohammed Siraj.
