The southpaw took five wickets and then followed it up with fifty runs against a disciplined Ireland attack. “I have been discussing with MS (Dhoni) what pace to bowl at. It is all about assessing the pace,” he said.

Yuvraj was all praise for the Irish too. “Ireland played really well and put us under pressure.” He praised their fielding but said that his plan during batting was to play with patience.

“A five-for gives you a lot of confidence when you come out to bat.”

Skipper MS Dhoni praised his bowlers. “We are showing signs of improvement in bowling. Our fielding will be the same, our exceptional fielders can get better but our slow fielders will remain the same," he said.
