Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Monday reshuffled ministers in-charge of monitoring development schemes in the state’s 13 districts.
This, his media in-charge Darshan Singh Rawat said, was done “to ensure an effective monitoring of development schemes being implemented in the state”.
Rawat carried out the reshuffle in the district planning and monitoring committee for the first time since taking over as the chief minister. All the nine members of his cabinet are members of the committee.
Satpal Maharaj will continue to be the in-charge of Haridwar, an official statement said. His colleague Prakash Pant will monitor two districts -- Chamoli and Rudraprayag.
Madan Kaushik, consider close to the chief minister, will be the in-charge of Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital.
Harak Singh Rawat, Yashpal Arya and Subodh Uniyal will monitor Almora, Dehradun and Pauri, respectively.
Arvind Pandey will supervise Pithoragarh and Champawat while Rekha Arya will monitor Bageshwar.
Dhan Singh Rawat, another CM loyalist, has been made in-charge of Tehri and Uttarkashi districts.
