Fired employee shoots former employee seeking vengeance

In a case of revenge killing, a businessman was shot dead and his brother injured in their car at a marketplace in west Delhi’s Dwarka on Tuesday night, police said.

The six accused also made away with a bag with ₹3.5 lakh cash, said Shibesh Singh, DCP (Dwarka).

“The mastermind, a minor, was disgruntled with his employer for kicking him out of job. His employer allegedly scolded him and he was ill-paid. So, he roped in five persons including few Ghaziabad criminals to kill him in revenge,” the DCP told Hindustan Times.

The deceased was identified as 45-year-old Rajendra Garg, a resident of west Delhi’s Uttam Nagar. He was a wholesale dealer of a firm making chocolates. At around 10pm on Tuesday when Garg, his brother Ramesh, and an employee, were returning to Uttam Nagar in a car from Kakrola village in Dwarka when a motorcycle hit their car from behind.

“After shooting, some of the accused came across a bag containing around Rs 3.5 lakh cash and decided to steal it,” said the DCP.

The police began investigating the case by questioning Rajendra’s employees but cracked the case with the help of CCTV footage and local inquiry.
