NEW DELHI: A 17-year-old boy allegedly attacked a 21-year-old man with a sharp-edged weapon in outer Delhi’s Sultanpuri area on Saturday evening.

According to the police, Sunny, 21, was in a relationship with a 16-year-old girl for over three years but the two recently fell apart.
The girl then grew close to another youth, her classmate. Sunny, however, wanted to get back with the girl and used to call her often. He even followed her to her school and tuition.
“The girl told Sunny that she was with someone else, but he refused to back out. She then told her boyfriend about Sunny asking him to help her get rid of him. The youth then made a plan and asked her to invite him to her place on Saturday night,” a senior police officer said.
As directed, the girl invited Sunny to her place on Saturday night for a party. When Sunny reached the house, he was attacked by the girl’s boyfriend. The two first had an argument, following which the 17-year-old hit Sunny on the head with a sharp-edged weapon. Sunny collapsed on the ground, bleeding profusely. The couple then took Sunny out of the house and left him at a secluded spot.
“A passerby spotted Sunny and rushed him to the hospital. He has been admitted to the ICU and his condition is critical. We have apprehended the youth and the girl is also being questioned,” a senior police officer said.
