NEW DELHI: The CBI is likely to question a former senior official of public-sector undertaking ICSIL in its corruption probe against Delhi’ s former principal secretary Rajendra Kumar.
The former Intelligent Communication System India Limited (ICSIL) official is under the CBI’s scanner for his alleged role in manipulating tender guidelines to ensure private firm Endeavour Systems Private Limited bagged lucrative state contracts. “The CBI is verifying the suspect’s role in tweaking tender guidelines in a manner that suited the bid of the accused private firm,” said a source.
Kumar was arrested last week along with two directors of a private firm after being named in an FIR in December.
The accused in the case, including Kumar, have so far rejected CBI’s allegations against them.
