NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Tuesday set aside the city government’s order imposing a fine of over Rs 17 crore on Dharamshila Cancer Hospital for allegedly refusing to provide free treatment to poor patients. The court made the decision after the government said it would hear the hospital authorities afresh on the issue.

The government told Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva that it has considered the representation of the hospital and has decided to grant another hearing on August 17.

The government had also asked Max Super Specialty Hospital (Saket), Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, Shanti Mukand Hospital and Pushpawati Singhania Research Institute, to pay a fine for the same reason.
