12,000 MTNL lines damaged

More than 1,200 telephone connections in areas like Kirti Nagar (Furniture Block, WHS Block, A to N Blocks) and Moti Nagar DLF Industrial area have gone out of order after underground cables of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd. (MTNL) were damaged on Saturday.

More than 1,200 telephone connections in areas like Kirti Nagar (Furniture Block, WHS Block, A to N Blocks) and Moti Nagar DLF Industrial area have gone out of order after underground cables of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd. (MTNL) were damaged on Saturday.

Due to digging of roads by another civic agency, six primary underground cables of MTNL were badly damaged, pertaining to Rajouri Garden Telephone Exchange.

"Work for repairing the damaged cable is under progress and affected telephone connections are likely to be restored by Saturday, July 16," said spokesperson of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd.
